Hi Witte Wardrobe Fans! I am very excited to announce that I have officially started my own website and will continue blogging on there. It’s shannonwitte.com and I hope you’ll join me there. This has been on my bucket list for some time and I knew 2014 was the perfect time to do.
and a little something for the soul.
Pumpkin Cheesecake it’s not just for dessert anymore…it’s now my favorite breakfast thanks to Trader Joe’s.
This is probably the easiest breakfast to create! All you need is a bagel (I like Thomas’s Whole Wheat Toasted), Cream Cheese (1/3 less fat Philly), and Pumpkin Butter (which isn’t really butter more like a Pumpkin Jam or Jelly). Serve with your favorite cup of tea. Enjoy!
I am so glad I got a Birchbox subscription. Not only is it fun to have it to look forward to, but it is introducing me to products I never would have heard of otherwise. Meet my new favorite base makeup Dr. Jart+ BB Cream! It has a thick creamy consistency, but isn’t heavy on your skin. It has a sheer clean coverage and I can already see an improvement in my skin. It’s a tinted moisturizer and foundation all in one. You only need a small amount to cover your entire face and it lasts all day long.
According to Birchbox: “This tinted balm contains myriad of complexion-benefiting ingredients. Adenosine improves skin’s elasticity, and arbutin brightens and evens out skin tone. An antioxidant bio-peptide complex provides anti-aging properties and promotes collagen production, while titanium dioxide and zinc oxide add broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection.”
Here’s a look back at my delicious weekend home in Warwick!
Applefest weekend happens to be one of the most popular in my hometown. As a local I usually avoid it, but now that I no longer live there I look at it as away to enjoy the beauty and see old friends.
The stand I look forward to the most is what I fondly refer to as the pickle-man! They have some of the best free samples around.
A little snack shared with the boyfriend. Potato potato latkes with homemade applesauce…YUM!
I had to bring home some BuddhaPesto. A small company out of Woodstock that makes the best classic pesto you will ever taste.
Spending the day munching on the world’s best kettle corn with a friend you’ve had for 12 years is definitely priceless. Sorry the picture is a bit blurry it was raining all day .
My parents went to the Jersey Shore for the weekend and brought back our favorite doughnuts from Mueller’s Bakery in Bay head.
Everybody’s working for the weekend! Even though this is a weekend post you are currently viewing my work outfit from Wednesday. I am craving fall weather, but the earth seems to want to hold onto summer just a little bit longer. It was 80 in NYC that day.

To feel fall, but to stay cool I opted for a heavier cardigan over a sleeveless chambray top with a printer trouser (secret: they aren’t really trousers…they’re leggings that appear and feel like trousers!) and my classic black pumps. It wouldn’t be me without something fun and bright so I added my favorite statement necklace and earrings in bright pink and orange. Oh and how could I forget my bubble gum pink nails. Pops of pink are going to be huge this fall, but think on the softer side.
